George (Laurence Harvey), Harris (Jimmy Edwards) and J (David Tomlinson) decide to have a holiday on the Thames. George cancels engagements with his many girlfriends, Harris informs all restaurants that he will be out of town and J explains to his wife that a holiday apart would be a novel idea. The three men set out to rendezvous at Hampton Court but, on the way, George meets three attractive girls who are also holidaying on the river.
